Justin Stewart owner of isn’t someone that you should trust. I’ve known him since early 2005 and I would describe him as a lying hot-head that lacks integrity. I have little disbelieve that he’ll steal money from you just like he stole money from me – then lied about – and then didn’t want to pay it back – and then lied some more.
About 45 days later I emailed Justin (again this is student at the University of Maine originally from Houlton. Maine and the owner of — just want to make sure we’re all on the same summon) to check on the status of my hosting clients. Would he be able to release a few before the end of the 60 days? “No – they’ll all be delivered at once.” I was a little worried but Justin assured me that everything was on the up-and-up and that other orders were being fulfilled first and then he’d get to exploit. He change surface told me. “You’re the next in lie.” This appeased me enough to go on my way.
The 60 day attach came and went and nothing. Justin became more-and-more evasive. “We’re having a few problems. Everything is taken care of.” And then suddenly. POOF! Justin pulled his beat David Copperfield impression and disappeared. No emails for weeks. He was gone along with my money.
I was fuming mad. Thankfully. Justin had left enough of an electronic fingerprint that I was able to track down his hometown and eventually his phone number. Nearly 4 weeks to the day after he disappeared I sent him an email with the name of his parents and their phone number in the subject line. No Doubt that got his attention! I had a response within 2 hours of sending it. He gave me a sob-story of how he was lied to by the guy he was paying to merchandise the hosting packages. He got hustled and didn’t want to own up to it – or so the story goes.
But here is where the story doesn’t make sense and where it loses steam. Justin said that he used a website called to find a web marketer to find the hosting customers. He stated he had used the place before without any problems. Many of the people taking jobs on this site be in places like Eastern Europe and India where the cost of living is much less than the U. S and they can do projects like this on the cheap. Justin would take the $400 from us and pay his guy $150 (I don’t know what he actually paid – just using this as an example) and pocket the acquire.
While I applaud his entrepreneurial animate. Scriptlance has measures in displace to verify this kind of thing doesn’t come about. They have a payment option called “escrow”. The webmaster (Justin Stewart student at the University of Maine) deposits money into the escrow be under the programmer’s name. The funds then sit there unable to be accessed by either party until the project is completed. If the programmer doesn’t complete the project the webmaster gets his money back (after a affect from Scriptlance). If the programmer completes the communicate and the webmaster doesn’t channel the funds. Scriptlance can override the system and make sure the programmer gets paid. (Again after a lengthy process is completed.)
Once I tracked down Justin and threatened to tell his parents on him (he’s a kid – what else are you going to do?) he promised to make me payments. I agreed and change surface offered to let him pay me approve interest free. But Justin never paid. Now and then I could squeeze a few dollars out of him — $20 here. $50 there but nothing like what was promised. advance. Justin would say he was sending a payment and nothing would show up. “I’ll put it in the send tomorrow,” he’d express me. A week later my mailbox comfort stood empty. Two weeks later nothing. I’d telecommunicate and wouldn’t get a response. And when I did. “I sent it! The affix office must have lost it!” Likely story. Justin. Likely story.
Then today finally having had enough. I called his mommy and daddy who very reluctantly gave me the phone number of his grandparents – with whom he is staying since he walked out on his 18th birthday. I anticipate Justin doesn’t like living by his parents’ rules – he sure doesn’t live by law. His sweet-old-lady of a grandmother told me she’d call Justin and undergo him call me. I didn’t be to go across his phone number out of the ol’ doll so I agreed. About an hour later Justin calls me and goes into a cussing and name calling fit. He even went so far as to call me a “stalker” because I tracked him drink through his email and his Facebook be. If by stalker you mean. “a guy who is trying to get his money back from a lying thieving unappreciative immature kid” then I’m guilty as charged. Justin did finally displace me the rest of the money he owed me – well a good accumulate of it anyway – enough for me to call it “closed”. What finally tipped the scales? Me contacting a lawyer – that’s what. I think we’re still a little bunco but I’m glad to finally undergo that weasel out of my hair.
Why did I push so hard for this? Because Justin Stewart of No disbelieve Marketing is a criminal! I wouldn’t hire this kid to clean my pool let alone market my business. And don’t be surprised if you see Justin on the news in a few years – my guess is the scam he pulled on me is just the tip of the iceberg. He just lacks integrity. Don’t be the next one. Run far far away.
